The One-Minute Reset
A practical tool for finding calm when emotions feel too much
The One-Minute Reset is a practical tool for the moments when emotions feel too much.
It’s designed to help you feel more grounded, clearer, and better able to deal with whatever is in front of you. It isn’t simply a breathing exercise or a way to distract yourself. It uses gentle sensory input, imagination and a carefully chosen phrase to help your mind and body settle, so your brain can begin to view the situation through a calmer lens.
You can listen straight away below. If this is your first time, start with the short introduction. It only takes a minute and explains how to get the most from it.
Before you begin, notice how you feel right now and give it a number from 0–10, where 0 means calm and 10 means completely overwhelmed. Enter that number in the first box below.
After you’ve finished, enter your new number in the second box so you can notice what’s changed. Your feedback also helps me refine and improve these resources over time.
